Cookie policy
Last updated: 21 October 2026
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Digital Maturity uses only the cookies it needs to work: keeping you signed in and protecting the site. Because they’re strictly necessary, the law doesn’t require us to ask for your consent, so you won’t see a cookie banner.
We don’t use advertising cookies or tracking cookies. Our page statistics come from Umami, which uses no cookies at all, and our fonts come from our own server.
The cookies we use
| Cookie | What it’s for | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|
wordpress_logged_in_…, wordpress_sec_… |
Keep you signed in once you’ve signed in | 14 days, or until you sign out |
wordpress_test_cookie |
Checks that your browser accepts cookies when you sign in | Until you close your browser |
__cf_bm |
Set by Cloudflare, which protects our host’s network, to tell people from bots | 30 minutes |
cf_clearance |
Set by Cloudflare only if you’ve passed one of its security checks, so you aren’t asked again | Up to a year |
Our staff get a few more when they use the site’s admin area: wp-settings-… and wp-settings-time-… (their admin screen preferences, one year) and wordpress_user_sw_… (switching between test accounts, until sign-out).
Other things stored in your browser
If you tick Hide my results from charts on a results page, your browser remembers the choice under mtHideIndividualResults (local storage). It only changes what your own screen shows, and it stays until you clear your browser’s data.
When you pay
Payment and subscription management happen on Stripe’s own pages (buy.stripe.com, checkout.stripe.com and billing.stripe.com). Stripe sets its own cookies there to process payments and prevent fraud. Its cookie policy explains them.
Controlling cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser’s settings. If you block the sign-in cookies, you won’t be able to sign in.
